Re : Le Rif marocain, une approche problématique
Azul idir!
Since we dont know exactly what happen for our amazigh tribes in history,we can only patchwork the dialects used today to underpine the relations............
What happen to Imazighen ( Awraba and Maghrawa) after the Dihya's defeat?
There are no reliable sources............We have a little informations to reconstructe the real facts.........
We are sur that Imasmoden were dwelling in Morocco from south to north.
We are sur that Ghumara and Kutam were located in the Western Rif ( tetouan-Ouazzane)
We kwom that Awraba arrived after the Ommeyade agression..and we know that Maghraba arrived to Morocco after Awraba................Then we have The Almoravid searching for a nest in North Morocco...........after them the Almohad displaced many Amazigh Tribes from modern Algeria to Imasmoden Territory around Marrakech......
The Merinid used same tactics to move entire tribes includind arab tribes to Morocco.............................each moroccan dynasty like Staline have used the same tactic to move tribes from one territory to another.
Finally in the XX century we dont know exactly how to reconstructe the real facts.........
I was reading yesterday Al Bakri( al mamalik wa lmasalik) to understand how he wrote thousand year before about Taza et Maghrawa.........
I was atonished to find that The Maghrawa dynasty had a big city " GORMATA" in what is today Ghyata tribe and another city " Tsoul"...........in that time Taza was small town no so important to hold an maghrawan administration........
I read also that Taza has a GOLD MINE producing the most fine gold in North africa...............
Sincerly it was a surprise for me............after all the years spent in studies I feel myself ashamed that there is more to learn about MY OWN REGION..............

Azul Adrar,
Laoust also placed for example the region Demnat under a different linguistic group, but I have a little problem with that i can't pin point out why exactly.
It has to do with :: linguistics - internal migration - culture
