He made two greate movies which I have seen both he used the original and ancient language of the people and country of that particular time, two examples:

- The Passion Of The Christ - ...Aramaic an ancient language comes alive... :: 2004 ::

- Apocalypto ...Gibson uses the Yukatek Maya language... :: 2006 ::

So if he ever intends to make a movie which occured in North-Africa (appart from the egyptians), you might hear Tamazight in the Cinema all over the world.

Yes Idir ...definetely as far as the language itself is concerned. However, if you consider the historical substance, the movie isn't so fresh because Gibson's movies are just short moments screenplayed with action, e.g.:
-That one about Jesus is focused only on his latter hours of living (according to the Bible...).
-And so it is basically for Apocalypto: it is a succession of massive violent inter-tribal fights on a short time.

Somehow these are the tricks raised up by Gibson:
i).the scenario features a short period of time; hence, by prorata, the requirements for historical materials are low
ii). the choice of an old language breathes authenticity, which is precisely a counterbalance for the lack of history

And if you look at the way of promoting, it is as basic: Gibson says in the mass media that he's likely to releasing a movie about an Ancient Civilisation in an Ancient language. As soon as you have eyed the movie, you understand that special credit was given to violence, and that understanding History is not the aim at all.

What do we substantialky learn from The Passion of the Christ about people from Nazareth etc ...?
What do we substantially learn from Apocalypto about Mayas? Only beheading ceremonies, slaughtering...

Eventually then, he could make a movie about us for the sake of promoting Tamazight languages, but I'm sure he would raise such a hype around the contents of the movies. Eventhough one cannot forget that the Atlas, for instance, had long time been a terribly dodgy place instead of a quiet shelter ... :-D Also, given the long tradition of weaponry and the skilled horsemen in our land, it could be a dazzling movie.
